To Prospect Technologies’ customers, friends, employees, and clients:

n mid-January, I addressed a letter to each of you alerting you to an upgrade of Prospect Technologies’ current e-mail services. The time for the implementation of this new, state-of-the-art system has now arrived.

As many of you know, Prospect Technologies is committed to provide the very latest and best e-business and total computer technology support and services. In this regard, the firm acts as an ISP serving customers for whom we provide integrated e-mail and Web site services.

Due to the ever-increasing problems of viruses and SPAM on the Internet, Prospect Technologies feels an e-mail upgrade to a better, more robust and state-of-the-art system is necessary. Over the past few months, SPAM and virus traffic have increased exponentially. This increase in traffic has taken a heavy toll on all the e-mail systems through-out the Internet. While our existing system would be ‘adequate’ to merely satisfy our customer needs, the new system is far better equipped to deal with new and emerging threats as well as our on-going and expanding customer requirements.

For example, some of the new features of this e-mail system will include:

• Integrated virus scanning provided by Symantec;
• Statistical filters which analyze and block spam;
• Rules for verifying valid sender e-mail addresses;
• Rules for verifying valid sender domains;
• Advanced HTML and phrase filtering;
• A more powerful and ‘user-friendly’ Web based e-mail interface; and
• Overall improved system stability.

Over the next two- (2) weeks, those of you that are Prospect Technologies’ e-mail customers will be contacted with the specifics of this conversion. While the switchover is tentatively planned for the weekend of March 20th, 2004, our goal is to make this change as painless and transparent as possible.

Prospect Technologies hopes to continue to provide you with the very best e-mail service possible. We believe that this upgrade will provide improved service and reliability features to all of our valued customers.
