Prospect Technologies has just been awarded a contract to support the efforts of the DOD
Knowledge Worker Program at the Business Process Reengineering [BPR] Implementation Center in
Arlington, VA.
This work will provide program management support for the Knowledge Worker System [KWS].
KWS is a software package specifically designed to help simplify the job of knowledge
workers. KWS assists knowledge workers in organizing and prioritizing their tasks
efficiently. By sorting all schedule information in a central data base, KWS keeps workers
up-to-date on scheduled events and schedule changes The software stores detailed
information useful in completing major processes across the enterprise and supports the
development of best practices and reuse of process intelligence across the organization.
KWS captures and retains corporate knowledge of an organization while automating labor
intensive tasks. It also links IDEF models to tasks.
Specifically, Prospect Technologies will provide planning and analytical
support for the KWS Program Manager. The intent of this work is to
develop a "best practice" of managing and enlarging the current KWS
program.
"I am pleased to be able to support the outstanding work done by DOD's
KWS Program", said Bill Lewis, President of Prospect Technologies. "We
are excited to see how to support the rich and robust KWS software in the
Federal Government as well as commercial organizations. KWS appears to be an
excellent tool to help complex organizations understand and manage their
work. It also – using BPR techniques! – provides an intelligent
process tool which facilitates change management and enterprise wise
communications. This attribute makes KWS an extremely welcome
management tool for a number of different businesses and government
agencies."
