Washington, DC August 1997 -- Prospect Technologies announced today that it has signed a contract with Cauldron / Radiance Services to build a Web site and repository of engineering papers / plans.

Radiance Services Company is a research, development, and technology-licensing firm. Its patented technique, the Radiance Process, is a means for cleaning surfaces without the use of water or chemicals. It employs light energy, usually from a laser, and an inert gas to remove contaminants from the work area.

The Radiance Process has been shown to have broad applications in the removal of surface contamination. Demonstrations have been conducted on a variety of products including:

• semiconductor wafers, photomasks, and quartzware;
• industrial metals, medical devices, and packaging;
• plastics, NylonŽ, and TeflonŽ; and
• optical and ceramic components.
