extends contract with Prospect Technologies
Washington, DC July 1998 -- Dr. Wm. Frederick Lewis, President and CEO of Prospect Technologies,
today announced that The Americas Society and Council of the Americas has extended their contract for
Web hosting, development, and maintenance.
Prospect Technologies has been supporting The Americas Society / Council of the Americas since
1996 and plans are in place to expand the Web site to include advanced computer technology, Electronic
Commerce, on-line registration, and payment with credit cards on-line.
The Americas Society, a non-profit educational organization, was founded in 1965 by David
Rockefeller, who continues to serve as honorary chairman. Its mission is to inform Americans about
politics, economics and cultures of countries in the Western Hemisphere. Throughout the year it
offers members a series of programs featuring Western Hemisphere leaders in government,
business, and the arts.
The Council of the Americas is the foremost American business organization for Latin American,
Canadian, and US Relations dedicated to promoting economic integration, free trade, open
markets and investment, and the rule of law throughout the hemisphere. On behalf of its corporate
members, it acts as an advocate in public-policy discussions in Washington and in capitals abroad,
as well as provides a forum for dialogue on economic and political issues.
Prospect Technologies is currently supporting the Web sites for the
Americas Society and the
Council of the Americas. |
