Washington, DC October 1998 -- Prospect Technologies' President and CEO Bill Lewis announced today that Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training [ADST] has signed a contract with the firm for Internet and Web site support. ADST is a private organization whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness of American diplomacy. It complements the work of the Foreign Service Institute by providing to US diplomats valuable resources and tools not funded by the US government. It is the only private organization in the US dedicated primarily to the preparation of comprehensive records of the practice and history of modern US diplomacy. Currently, ADST is in the midst of a project of making available in electronic form the oral histories of the US diplomatic / foreign service corps. It is doing this with a combination of CD-ROM and creating an on-line database that will be searchable via the Internet and Web tools. Prospect Technologies' role in this important project will be to create a Web presence for the ADST by which scholars and universities could purchase these CD-ROMs. In addition, using its DataTigerTM capabilities, the firm will develop the on-line searchable database for access to this important piece of American history.
