Dear Friends and Customers of Prospect Technologies:

n keeping with Prospect Technologies’ goal to continue to assist its customers in their e-business, Internet, and overall computer technology needs, I am proud to announce the following management changes and additions to the Prospect Technologies’ team.

    Mr. Rick Davis has been promoted to the position of Vice President and General Manager. In this position, he will continue to have overall responsibility of the Customer Service Division, and will begin to take on leadership roles in other parts of the firm. In addition, he will act as my Chief of Staff and have day-to-day responsibility for the firm in my absence. Rick, who joined the firm some 3 years ago, has brought to Prospect Technologies and our customers a keen sense of outstanding customer service as well as an extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.

    Mr. Christopher Carpenter has joined Prospect Technologies as our Chief Systems Engineer. Mr. Carpenter brings over 10 years of experience from the United States Air Force where he served as a systems engineer and network administrator. Chris is a certified Novell administrator, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and a Microsoft Certified Professional and Internet Engineer (MCP+I). He also was an Instructor of Technology and Military Science at the Community College of the Air Force in Charleston, SC and has extensive experience in computer security and encryption. Before focusing on technology and computer systems, Chris served as an Avionics Technician troubleshooting and proving service to some of the latest and most sophisticated aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force.

    Mr. Doug Zeng has also joined Prospect Technologies as a Program Manager and Chief of Software Engineering. Doug is a graduate of the Beijing University , holds an MA from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in International Business and Economics, and was both a Sloan and Ford Foundation Fellow in economics at Stanford University. He also holds a MS in Information Systems Development from George Washington University. Doug is an expert in Interactive Web and database interfacing and recently served as a consultant for the World Bank where he developed an online core program entitled “Knowledge for Development” which utilized some of the latest and most sophisticated Internet and Web tools. Prior to World Bank, he served as the Technical Officer at the U.S. Information Technology Office (USITO) in Washington, DC.

    The Electronic Courtroom Mr. Mike Outler, who has been with Prospect Technologies for the past three years, has been promoted to Computer Engineer. Mike has extensive experience in servicing all forms of computer hardware and software programs. He has also developed several sophisticated database / Web retrieval programs for both Prospect Technologies internally as well as our many customers. Mike was educated in Mathematical Science at the University of Maryland and has been certified in some of the latest technology protocols and operating systems.

    Recently, Mike has been the Program Manager / Lead Computer Engineer on a $1 billion insurance appraisal. He has coordinated the technical needs, images, and Internet requirements of a consortium of insurance companies represented by a major law firm inside and outside the courtroom. Mike helped coordinate and build a secure and encrypted Intranet, through which lawyers and experts located in the courtroom, lawyer’s room, and expert’s room could monitor the testimony via the Web. In addition, this technology allowed instantaneous, secured, and encrypted messages to pass from one person to another throughout the proceedings. This Intranet has been extended to the entire Internet, while retaining the necessary security and encryption to enable the different home offices to follow and comment on the court room proceedings from anywhere in the world.

    Ms. Victoria Langbein has joined Prospect Technologies as Business Administrator and Controller. Ms. Langbein has spent numerous years in the educational and business fields including several years working as a civilian in the U.S. Department of Defense in the accounting, auditing, and financial areas. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Florida Southern College. In addition, Vicki will have all responsibility for the fiduciary controls for all of Prospect Technologies’ Divisions - hardware manufacturing, Internet / e-business, and software engineering. She will also oversee the billing and financial activities of the firm and will be working directly with customers to ensure that all of Prospect Technologies’ Invoices are accurate and meet the needs of our growing customer base.
