The George C. Marshall International Center at Dodona Manor Selects Prospect Technologies to Develop New Web Site and Portal
Washington, DC - Prospect Technologies, Inc. announced today that it was selected by the George C. Marshall International Center (GCMIC) at Dodona Manor in Leesburg, Va. to create, design, implement, and host the organization’s new Web site and e-communication portal. The new Web site will serve as an integral part of re-branding and communications efforts currently underway at this National Historic Landmark property.
Located in the Town of Leesburg’s historic district, Dodona Manor was the home of General George C. Marshall and Katherine Marshall from 1941 through 1959. Marshall served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army during World War II and as special emissary to China, Secretary of State, President of the American Red Cross, and Secretary of Defense in the years following the war. In 1953, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace for the European Recovery Plan, more commonly known as the Marshall Plan.
Dodona Manor serves as both a house museum and as the headquarters for the George C. Marshall International Center, whose mission is to preserve and enhance Marshall’s legacy of creating the conditions for world peace through international cooperation, economic development, trade, humanitarian aid and education. Visit the Web site at www.georgecmarshall.org or call (703) 777-1880 for more information.
“Prospect Technologies is honored to have the George C. Marshall International Center as a client,” said Bill Lewis, President and CEO. “We are looking forward to building a Web site that will convey the legacy of a great American leader in a powerful and imaginative way.”
“We selected Prospect Technologies because of their experience working with other historic properties,” said GCMIC Executive Director Kirsten Dueck, “and because of the ease-of-use inherent in their exclusive content management platform.”
The GCMIC becomes the third historic property Web site that Prospect Technologies has developed in the past two years. Recently, the firm completed Web sites for Oatlands and the Woodrow Wilson House, which are both properties of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
