Prospect Technologies is awarded follow-on Contract at DHS
Washington, DC - Prospect Technologies announced today that it has been awarded a follow-on contract for its DIGIDOQ implementation at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This multi-year / multi-task contact involves implementing the firm’s Web based document management system at DHS and the US Coast Guard.
DHS is using DIGDOQ not only to share millions of documents currently contained within its files and data repositories with governmental agencies and other approved entities but to eliminate the need for existing on-site storage and retrieval systems. This engagement has also linked specially enabled copiers / printers to allow documents to be scanned and immediately uploaded to DIGIDOQ. Once on the Web, these documents and images are converted to text files (OCRed) and searchable.
The original contract was awarded to Prospect Technologies in March 2006.
