Princeton, NJ - The Friends of Princeton University Rugby announced today that it has signed a contract with Prospect Technologies to develop an enhanced e-business communications portal to support the on-going activities of the association and its 1,500+ members. Once operational, this new Web site will be located at princetonrugby.org and will become part of the new image and brand for this organization which supports one of the oldest and most illustrious collegiate rugby programs in the US.

‘In seeking a firm that can help our Rugby Association expand its reach and impact, we assessed several different candidates to develop our e-business communications capability’, said Mr. Stu Rickerson, Founding Chairman of the Princeton Rugby Association Endowment.

‘The enhanced site will help all of our constituencies: the students in recruiting players and scheduling games; the Alumni in keeping in touch w/ former teammates and networking; and the endowment in communicating w/ the Rugby Alumni Association and in fundraising to support the programs operational and capital needs. Prospect Technologies showed the most capability to handle the technical back-end programming and database development with the creativeness to capture our expanded vision for the organization. Plus, while delivering e-business and total IT solutions throughout the US they have extensive ties to Princeton and its various supporting organizations which gave it a special understanding of our needs.’

According to Washington, DC based Prospect Technologies some of the features and capabilities of the portal will be:

• A much more interesting and informative site to reflect the mood, climate, and vision for Princeton Rugby;
• The Princeton Rugby Web site – princetonrugby.org - will provide day-to-day support to both the men’s and women’s Rugby teams;
• The Web site will be the corner-stone for Princeton Rugby's capital campaign to support the PU Rugby endowment’s mission to provide students with ‘the coaching, facilities, and equipment’ they deserve but otherwise cannot afford;
• For the first time, the Friends of Princeton Rugby will be able to contribute and pay dues, and buy tickets for events on-line;
• The ability for the non-technical staff to update / modify / change the Web site;
• To include an e-mail Blast capability w/ target marketing that will send e-mail periodic messages to its constituency that draws these folks to the Web site for more information;
• Much more friendly and more robust Web site with easy to navigate buttons; and
• Act as a platform, forum, and portal for team members, donors, alumni/ae and friends to communicate within Princeton Rugby.

It is expected that this Web site, to be located at Princetonrugby.org, will be brought on-line during the fall of 2006.
